KSA Bike Club — starting in May!

I have no problem admitting that I’m a fair-weather bike rider. Warm spring days continue to elude us, here in Toronto, and I’m longing to pull out my bike and get on one of the many bike trails the city has to offer. Last September, I biked out to Port Credit on my birthday and it was a highlight of the summer for me!

Soon after that ride, I started to chat about the idea of a bike club with personal training client, Emily. She is a ride leader with the Saddle Sisters of High Park, a women’s+ cycling club, and last summer she completed the Toronto-Montreal charity ride benefitting People with AIDS. Emily was all in on the idea of a KSA Bike Club and started planning out some routes — which all involve a stop for coffee and a croissant!

KSA Bike Club will kick-off (bike-off??) with a beginner-friendly ride down the Martin Goodman Trail (waterfront) to Sherbourne (20km) on Sunday, May 25th! Here’s what you need to know:

Participation is FREE!

We have 5 rides planned for the summer (so far) — all rides are focused on bike-trail routes, mostly off the roads. Distance will increase throughout the summer but rides are beginner friendly. All rides are planned for Sunday mornings.

Rides depart from the Bloor entrance to High Park at 8am. Helmets are mandatory at all times. Emily will provide an intro/basic rules to group riding and safety.

Sign up is now open for our first ride under the Book a Class tab — just look for the KSA Bike Club!

Other dates and rides:

June 8 — Humber Trail to Eglinton (23km)

July 6 — Martin Goodman Trail to the Island (27km)

July 27 — Leslie Spit (40km)

August 17 — Port Credit (40km)

I can’t wait for this!!

In strength and love,

KSA
